Wee puppy

Hi folks I have a wee male pup here at the mo., he was used as a football and had not been fed very well. Anyway he had his front left leg broken and has now been pinned but as you can see there is a problem with his right leg too. The vet x-rayed it but as there are no bones broken they feel he didn't need any treatment on it. With the lack of nutrition he is on calcium tablets. I was wondering if anyone has any advise on what else I could try.

Tracie

Poor little chap. So pleased he is now safe with you.

See this photograph of a dog with carpal hyperextension http://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/sacs/Lewis...mb/page16.html

If this is the problem then surgical treatment seems to be the recommended course of action: http://petplace.netscape.com/article....asp?artID=116

Your story is heart breaking, how can people be so cruel?

Thank goodness he's found a loving family.

I hope all goes well for the little chap Tracie. I reckon he has been thrown, or dropped from a height to cause that damage
