I'm not sure about Pasta or rice, but once when one of mine had an upset stomach the vet told me to feed them chicked and rice so I suppose it must be ok.

As for pasta, I gave it to my bitches whilst whelping as it was cheap and filled them up, well for at least half an hour.

By the way,Alfie has naturediet puppy james well beloved ,(turkey and rice duck and rice)i also feed him (for a bit of a variety)lots of cooked veggies(he likes them on their own, particuly broccolli) and fish in oil(mackeral.sardines etc)oh and raw bones and carrotts for those chewing days.
I was giving him eggs and a bit of milk once a week but he started scratching relentlessly so i've stopped both of those, hope tegan gets on alright x

Hi, been feeding my lot for over 3yrs now & they`ve never looked better Started of with the Pitcairn diet which is raw meat, cooked grains/pulses & cooked veg with healthy powder you make up yourself. Moved on to all raw with no grains & still my dogs are doing good. Theres a lot of thought dogs don`t need grains, I`m of the opinion if your dogs do well on them thats ok Its up to you if you decide to give them & as long as you`re aware grains can be the cause of allergies, also I`d use only whole unprocessed grains or brown rice/bread/pasta. My adult dogs weigh between 28kg-34kg & they eat between approx. 1lb-1lb &half of pure meat chunks or whole fish. With that goes 2-3 whole quails or 2-4 ch/wings or 1-2 drumsticksor a whole thigh. Sometimes they have a whole chicken & that will be it for the day. They get a ladle or 2 of pureed veg/fruit over their dinner, I fed them once a day & they have everything together. An egg 3-4 times a week as well. In the mornings they`ll have when I`ve got them, a pigs trotter or lamb ribs or whatever meaty bones I have maybe 3-4 times a wk & a marrow/nuckle bone once or twice a week.
I don`t give them offal by itself as they get enough from the whole quails/chicken or rabbit but they do get heart several times a wk as thats classed as a muscle meat. My 6mth puppy gets approx 1lb meat or fish plus a couple of quails or drumsticks or a small thigh. A good way to tell if you`re over doing the bones is if their poop is hard & white. HTH
Christine.
