Good morning all!

Morning all,

Managed to get all the jobs done yesterday, with the exception of the garden, as it piddled down all flippin’ day

I’ve now noticed another chore to do. We have lots of tiny flies stuck to the ceiling in the lounge – reason being, I guess, is because our patio door is always open, and they just can’t resist the light. Our ceiling is stippled and they get caught. I shall have to get the hoover out…….. now where did Margaret put it?

Off out with Jackie today – just to Orpington – but it will be so nice, as it’s been three weeks since we were out together.

Today’s gem:
A fleeing Taliban, desperate for water, was trudging through the Afghanistan desert when he saw something far off in the distance. Hoping to find water, he hurried towards it, only to find a little old Jewish man at a small stand selling ties.

The Taliban asked, “Do you have water?”

The Jewish man replied, “I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie? They are only $5.”

The Taliban shouted, “Infidel! I do not need an over-priced tie! I need water! I should kill you, but I must find water first!”

“OK, OK” said the old Jewish man, “It does not matter that you do not want to buy a tie and that you hate me. I will show you that I am bigger than that. If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you will find a lovely restaurant. It has all the ice cold water you need. Shalom.”

Muttering, the Taliban staggered away over the hill. Several hours later he staggered back, almost dead… “Your f***ing brother won’t let me in without a tie!”

Morning Vicki, morning all. Still piddling down here. OH has taken Cassie to the park so I've run around and hoovered and made the bed before they get back. Going to have a mooch around the local shops but that's as far as I go today. Nevermind, counting down to our week in the Lakes. Have a good Saturday everyone.

Taking Mia back to my parents for the night, I am off on a river boat trip with work tonight, free booze free food and a chance to flirt with my boss and then blame the drink

Archie has gone to the vets this morning, and Harvey is booked in for Tuesday - routine and anal glands ( not for me )
