Must admit i have never recieved a teaining compliment but my dogs not that well behaved and we avoid people. I do get a lot of "thanks" as i always move to inside edge of pavement and put her in a sit for people to pass as she has taken to mugging people we walk past now.

I was talking to a colleague at work once who was thinking of getting a rescue dog. He was keen on labs, springers and jack russels - all sensible country-type dogs in his opinion (he was just a teensy bit snobbish at times )

Anyway, I asked him why he wouldn't consider a Staffy or Staffy cross and pointed out that a mutual friend who is incredibly posh had a lovely one....but my suggestion was met with derision.

So, I laughingly said, "I give up - you're such a dog snob!"

the room fell silent......and he shrugged his shoulders and walked out....

Turns out everyone thought I'd actually called him a 'Dog's knob'

I'd be chuffed if someone said 'nice wait' about my dog's training, but would think they were just taking the p. if they said 'nice weight' to me.

That is so funny

I wouldn't mind someone complimenting me on my dogs' wait or weight!
