Yes Graeme, the animals throat is cut and it is left to bleed to death-all in the name of religon.Curious to know why this has not be outlawed in the UK,but is likley due to people claiming it would "be breaching their human rights to practice their faith".

I watched it, it was nothing new and all seemed ok to me except for the idiotic behaviour of one or two of the guys there, if I owned that place I would sack them. I didnt see anything to turn me off meat although I dont eat much pork, except for the occasional bacon sandwich!

i watched it and it wasn't so much what went on in the slaughterhouse that sickened me, but the idiots that worked there. that one guy should not be allowed, he was cruel to the livestock and a bully to other staff members. it really annoyed me.

i am from south mancheser and my oh is from rochdale and it is embarrasing to see.

and another thing. if you eat meat you should watch stuff like that to understand where your food comes from and if you don't eat meat then it just reminds you why you don't...ok i have got that of my chest now.

I didn't watch it but have seen stuff like it before - I find it really upsetting and it made me vegetarian years ago but I never did like the taste of meat any way

I do love meat, I really do, tomorrow, I will collect my half a lamb, which I have known since it was born, have fussed and played with, seen how it has been kept, seen what it has eaten and known how happy its life has been. Some people will think "how could you" but I feel happy in knowing exactly where it has come from and how it was reared.
Dawn.
