I'm so sorry flash is so unwell, hopefully he'll have a peaceful night and be feeling a whole lot brighter in the morning. Fingers crossed you've caught it early.

Poor Flash, hopefully your quick action will help him get over it and begin to feel better and poor Rucksack.
Sending huge hugs to you all, hope the night isn't too bad for you and you can get some sleep

I phoned the out of hours vet at 11pm as Rucksack was constantly straining and losing more blood and then sicking blood up. He told me to check their gums - neither are dehydrated and to continue using the syringe of tepid water (apparently its dangerous for them to fill up with water as it will put pressure on their bleeding innards). He told me to give Rucksack another 15mg of codeine as I need to stop him straining. Now an hour and half later all is quiet. Both are totally crashed out on the floor and I just pray that they remain that way until the morning.

Thank you Mini for your PM. It is terrifying just how quickly they go downhill. Also thank goodness I took action early evening with Flash as I hadn't realised quite how serious this is. If I hadn't done I could have lost them within 24 hours.
