Great looking dog, but if she is past her first season... I think it's okay to spay her now. Especially if she is high risk pregnancy or something. My dog was neutered and completely healed before I got him at 16 weeks, I have no idea when they did it...

That is WAY too early and probably is going to cause some serious issues later in his life... but unless she is a giant breed, I think 1 year old or so is okay... assuming that is about her age.

Poppy is my fourth bitch and two of my previous ones were spayed at roughly one year. They were both absolutely fine so I think that's what we'll do now for her.

It's always a debatable subject, but I think about 1 year is fine for most dogs, except giant breeds when it makes sense to wait a bit longer for extra joint development etc. If you've had no issues in the past and your vet says it's okay... I think it's fine.

Especially if she is attracting unwanted attention like my girl does sometimes. She is past the age of 11 so spaying is out, sadly. Mammary tumors, mounting, and extra snarkiness are results of her being intact at this age.
