The boys have got large RedDingo tags from Rich & Robin

They have lasted really well, with no damage and only minor scratches...

(Max has a black paw print and Murphy has a blue bone and bowl one)

However I agree with other posters regarding rings - I also use the rings from key rings to attach mine on as well!

I also used Red Dingo tags.

They come in nice designs, good clear engraving, no discolouration over time and really good strong split rungs to attach

Mine have these -

http://www.pettags.co.uk/index.php?a...d&productId=21

I have surname, first line of address and postcode, then phone number on one side,

and vets details on the other. Siren has had hers for 4 years now and it is still going strong - Tassles must be 7 years old. They are great long wearing tags.
I actually have them attached to the collars with cable ties!

emmy my Mum's dog lost hers in the garden. it took us about 8 months to find it. mum cleaned it up and its still in ok nick.

ours all have surname and phone number on the back.

on the front they read:

im not fat just fluffy ,
am i cute or what?
i was put on this earth to embarress my owners.
you call me a b*tch like it's a bad thing

and finally my fave of them all
my name is no no bad dog, whats yours?
Just remember that to be legally compliant your dog tag MUST contain name of owner and address; antyhing else is a nice to have, but name and address is the legal requirement.

No tag, as they always disappeared, so I buy collars with the dog's name and my phone number on - I get them from pettags

I got mine from ebay too, £1.99 free p&p.

Pattern on the front. Dogs name, our address, 2 mobile numbers , house phone number & the words I am chipped on the back.

They're well worth the money!

Yes, I was testing the other day and two candidates had JUST the postcode, I said these were not legally compliant so they could not continue to participate.

The drove down to PAH and got some legally compliant ones.

Legal compliance =

YOUR name (either all or surname)
Address (either full or name/number of house + post code)

Anything else is a nice to have.
