Thankyou.

Teasel is in a basket, here in the front room right where I can see her. Hollie is being wonderful, she keeps laying and looking, and just now looked right in and cried a little. I took this when she first lay down so close.

Just caught up with this thread. Beautiful photos and the vids are great I'll keep everything crossed that Teasel gets better.

Het is quite right, 'Harry Hoglet' overwintered with us the winter before last. He weighed in at 280g bless him, but in the spring when he was released, he was a strapping young man

Ashlady thats great to hear!

Thankyou all for your kind words and good wishes.

After yet more research I have put a tissue with a couple of drops of Olbas Oil near by (not touching her) to help with her breathing - she has moved closer to it.

I honestly thought I would be posting that she had passed away in the night, but I am very pleased to say she is still with us!!! :smt041

Yesterday evening it really did look like she wouldn't make it, I was so worried. At one point we thought she had gone.

She has had a gentle Olbas Oil steam treatment - advice from a hedgehog hospital and is now sleeping peacefully, her breathing for now is quieter.

Keep crossing those fingers - it's helping!!

The Olbas Oil certainly seems to help.

She has eaten today, not a lot but a pretty good amount.

We have just done her antibiotics and eye drops and got a good look at her face. It seems a bit wonky, we are thinking she has been clipped by a car or some other injury - the left side seems to have taken the brunt of whatever it was, that eye is the one that we, and the vet, thought looked sore. When I was about to put the drop in her right eye there was a definate blink as I got very close - no reaction on the left.

Time will tell, and care and love will help.

Oh Trish! Good on you!

I'm glad Hollie is ok with her (Takara would just bark at her constantly wondering why she wasn't playing).

Well done for taking this little one in and you seem to be doing a fantastic job with her!

All fingers and paws are crossed here!
