Cain's first swimming lesson

Today we took a trip to a local hydrotheraphy pool. He's perfectly healthy, we just wanted to do it for some fun and exercise. As he doesn't get off lead much to run, it used up some of his energy. He loves the river but it's rarely deep enough to get his feet off the ground, so we tried to pool. He loved it!!! He spent ages jumping in to chase a squeaky Kong air tennis ball. The bus journey there was a nightmare, Cain was very well behaved but it was hot, packed full and loads of people throwing us dirty looks. Need to get driving, as i'd like to take him once a month. Great trip, would definately take him again And he was shattered when he got home and has been sleeping alllllll afternoon!

First look at the pool

Needed a little coaxing at first

Once in, he loved it!

Watery hugs

FETCH!!!

SPLASH!

A video clip, I hope this works...

WOW! That looks amazing! I'm so glad you have found something that he can do to get rid of some energy without you stressing the whole time! And he looks like he's loving every minute! I love the bit in the vid where he throws himself in! Confident or what?!

He will love The Mole. It is made for dogs. I walked across the stepping stones and my dogs splashed along beside me. Ollie walked and Dusty swam. Roll on 14/08!!

Great pictures and the video was brilliant! I love the way he went straight to the slope to get out and also his little 'bites' at the water. You have definitely got yourself a right little water babe there!

That is definitely one furry water baby! Love the pics and the vid.

When I learnt to drive I hated it, and thought I always would, but honestly with time it just becomes another thing you do and now I actually enjoy it and I never thought I'd say that!

You go for it!

J.

Thanks all, he is indeed a water baby! He always chomps at the water when he swims (I wish he didn't when he swims in the river eeeew!) and I think he must have swallowed half the pool yesterday as ge was peeing like a race horse for the rest of the day..... funny animal!
