We've got a furminator, I think they're a bit cheaper on ebay and amazon than from the popular pet shops

They're fine for short coated dogs but can cut the hair on longer coats. I've seen an OES with its outer coat ruined by inappropriate use of this tool, and all the mats underneath still remained.

Thanks Twix, Bentley is short coated. Didn't know they weren't good on longer coats? My friend uses one and has no problems so I didn't realise

Depends on coat type, as to what you are after.

Bristle brush? Hard Slicker? Soft slicker? Comb? Pin brush?

Rubber glove, zoom groom, rake are other things useful for a short hair dog.

Regular brushing and combing helps keep your dog's coat and skin healthy and looking good.I love my Chris Christensen brushes.
