Introducing an addition to my family

I completly forgot to formally introduce you guys to my newest addition

This sweet girl is Perla. She is 3 years old and og complete sweetheart.

Her story is that at her breeders, she used to spend most of her time in a crate with her brother. When the siblings drove the breeders crazy by barking and whining, it was decided to have them put down. Thankfully a woman I know managed to save them and brought them to her house. Perla was living there for about a year I think but was never happy. She would still bark and whine. Even going so far as scream bloody murder every time she was bathed and dried.
This woman is a breeder and a show person and has 12 papillons in her home so Perla was really getting the other dogs all riled up. So it got decided that she would come and stay with me for two months, untill the next show. She is very malnourished and fearful. She was so nervous that every little noise got her barking her head off.

Within 3 days with me, she is so much calmer, her barking has diminishes to almost non exsistence and I can let her off lead and she follows me. She is actually playing a little bit and eating so much better. She had a lot of plaque on her teeth and was swollen around the teeth but she let me clean her teeth without protest and now the swelling is going down. Thankfully there was no infection.

She is of course still way to skinny and has so little muscle on her hindquartes that her backlegs kinda fold underneath her and her back gets pushed up. But with good nourishment and exersize I am fully confidant that itīs not to late to fix that.

Her former owner came to me after seeing how well she is doing with me, and handed me her registation papers and fully filled out form of change of ownership. So now Perla gets to stay with me

I couldnīt be happier and she gets along with Leo and Desty so well.

What a lovely 'happy ending' success story that is.

Take a bow for managing to make a world of difference to this tiny dog's life. Well done indeed.

*can't help wondering what happened to the sibling she was caged up with?
