Savannah will retrieve all the time, but Tigger gets bored of it quick. He starts from a quick retrieve to gradually walking, and then a look like, haven't you had enough yet

I've read on other forums that people teach a forced retrieve for sports work. Some use shock collars

Maybe Saffy will start tossing what she wants to retrieve for herself. I've seen ball crazy dogs do that, it's cute

Scrump will retrieve when he wants, ruby is brilliant at it, purdey flies after it, but then flies back without it, not being next to me, she misses out of cuddles ans kisses, she doesnt like to be away from me! :P

Babs that is what Jas was like to start with.

First throw.....he was like a bat outta hell
Second throw......I'll just humour her
Third throw.........go get it yerself

Now he runs like a loon after the ball and loves to try and dodge me, or he'll throw it himself

Carole Saffy used to retrieve and then want a tug of war before she relinquished it but I refused to play that game, I just waited till she put it in my hand.

Got more excited than he did finding it. I looked a complete lemon mind running up the drive after this ball on a rope but then he found it was such a good game he wanted to join in
