"Blue" Staffies?

I fell in love today!!!!

We were at a little show held by our ringcraft club and there were two TINY staffie puppies there, they couldn't have been more than about 3 months and they were the sweetest little things!!

One of them i totally fell in love with, he was SO pretty! He was a kinda grey colour with blue/grey eyes and the owner said he was "blue" I have to admit to knowing nothing about staffies so is that a proper colour for them and does anyone have a puppy they want to send my way?! Im totally in love!

Yes Jessica, blue is a normal colour for the Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

It's a popular myth that blue is rare, and therefor more valuable.
In fact it costs no more to rear a blue puppy than it does to rear a brindle puppy. Greed again I'm afraid.

I totally agree,it makes me so mad
Usually blue's are very poorly bred,no thought put into the breeding, just the money they can sell them for.
But it is true there will always be somebody willing to pay the price for one

Two old sayings spring to mind.

There's one born every minute. (An idiot, that is)

A fool and his money are soon parted.

£1500?! Wow.. They're pretty, but not THAT pretty!

Whats the normal price for a staffie though? £1500 sounds very excessive to me, but if you pay £1000 for a 'normal' one i can understand how people would think £1500 isn't bad for a 'rare' one..

I think the average price of a staffie pup is around £500.
