Spike - 4 year old male Staffie
Spike, Staffie, DOB 07 - Gatwick
Homing requirements: Spike needs a family to offer him stability and to love his fun nature. He needs a secure garden and clear house rules. Spikes family will work together with him; he may have had too stern a hand in the past as he is a little hand-shy.
His Story: Owned by a soldier and his girlfriend since a puppy. Now at 4 years old, they had a baby and split 3 months after it was born. Spike was fine with the baby but the girlfriend was left with both, as well as losing her 'tied' accommodation. No one was there for Spike so she had him booked in to be PTS. We were contacted by her sister's boss in the nick of time to save him. He is neutered, vax'd and chipped.
Advert: Spike is so wrongly named. He isn't Spikey at all. Soft, sweet, steady and smiley! Spike has been in kennels a little while and doesn't deserve to be. He is meeting dogs really well and could probably live with another. We're sure he'll be an off lead dog perhaps after a training course. Haven't tried him with or around cats but maybe too excited. Spike travels well in the car. Spike is well behaved in the home, loving laps and interested in mealtimes! Not over-licky, just settled and loving.
Spike is a dear. He has a vulnerable feel about him in Rescue which certainly engages the tender heart. He has a sweet innocence and pleads to be next for a walk. Delightful company and an easy Staffie. We would place him with a first time Staffie owner, in fact a first time dog owner. No problems!
"Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".
If you are interested in re-homing please complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.
***PLEASE NOTE: We are a rescue finding dogs their forever homes. We usually ask for a minimum donation of £150 at the time of adoption, for each dog, to help us continue helping homeless dogs***.
