Sussex as the sunniest is quite amusing. If this is supposedly the sunniest place in the country (I've sat in the garden twice in the last month) I feel sorry for those in Carnarvonshire!

Couldn't agree more. If Sussex is the sunniest, lord knows how wet the rest of the country is. Its done nothing but rain for the last month!!

Lee Wick Farm, St Osyth, Essex has been identified in the ‘Guinness Book Of Records’ as the driest place in Britain with only 513 millimetres of rain per year. In 2007 a report recorded just 506.9 millimetres (19.96 inches) per year, averaged over a 40-year period.
