Here in Cyprus there is a wealth of fresh fruit and veg and healthy fare at the eateries all along the seafront - mostly fish tavernas but all do gorgeous salads and all sorts.

But when the Brits turn up on holiday - which establishment has the most customers? McDs! and the KFC! Some of them are asking where there is one before they've unpacked!
We went to France and guess where my husband went to eat?

That's a savoy, Azz. Hmm, cabbage sauages would be interesting.

I know what was traditionally in a saveloy, but I dread to think what gets put in them nowadays.

The smell of rancid fat outside my local McDonalds is bad enough. The only time I've been in is when my nephew insisted on having a big mac for his birthday. Even for him the real thing didn't live up to anticipation and he had two mouthfuls. Mum and stepdad got through half of their burgers out of pure bloody mindedness before stopping. I had a McChicken sandwich, which was edible, but I wouldn't bother having again. And the coffee was cr@ptastic.

I think that if I had a copy of that picture stuck to the door of my refrigerator it would really help my diet...
