Ccan you cook sesame seeds?

Probably a daft question but can you cook sesame seeds?

I was thinking about adding some when boiling some rice lol

I would've thought so - if you toast a burger bun with sesame seeds on they cook and still taste ok. You could always add a bit of sesame oil instead.

Yes you can, though I wouldn't put them with the rice whilst it's boiling. Toast them in a frying pan and add them once the rice is cooked.

As Wishbone said - you can toast them in a frying pan and add to dishes.

They are high in calcium and as I don't take milk I need to up my calcium intake
