I think you would need to go to a vet who had seen your dog before you would be given a prescription. My own vet charges only £5.47 for a prescription (I get some of my Tilly's medication online from Viovet and I find them very reliable) Please dont delay whatever you decide to do you dog will need treatment to clear up the conjunctivitis. Hope you manage to get things sorted soon. Do let us know how you get on.

Thanks for everyone's input i registered with a new vet and explained the situation and thankfully they provided me with a new tube of cream. I am also looking into the insurance.....

I'd get a new vet! My vet doesn't charge consultation charges for ongoing treatment of the same problem.

I took advice from my vets meny years ago and get eye cream [ for one of the cats who get conjunctivitis often ] from certain shops then again I have been with them for 30yrs and have been given a lot of advice - tricks of the trades [ as they call it ] over the years BUT if not sure I take my animals to the vets
