How Have Breeds Changed Over the Years?

Ref your chosen breed, or a breed you are really interested in. I thought it would be interesting and educational to have a thread with different pics and info , of how breeds have changed over many years. Then and now..........

This is an interesting topic for a thread. I remember pictures shown in a few newspapers about that documentary about the kennel club (I think?) a few months back. Well you could see differences between original breeds and how they are now as the show breeds.

From the crippled beast that could barely drag its own weight up the garden path....

...to the magnificent athelete of today.

100 years of KC mismanagement.

My breed has changed HUGELY!!

Mainly because they beacame popular for their wrinkles, the cute factor and also the fighting culture so they were bred with far too many to the point they were unable to see and had numerous skin problems, things are much better now but they still look alot different to the "original pei"

Original Pei

My boy now

They look like different breeds.

The first one reminds me of a Thai Ridgeback.
