All went well for us here too, Bailey had a bit of a scare about 11 last night when one of those really loud bangers went off, it sounded like a bomb!!!

He loves shredding paper which he rarely gets to do but last night I was up making crumpled paper balls for them to play with, they had a ball and forgot all about the noise Hubby wasn't too pleased with all the mess though when he came home from work

CC - Hope Rosie is feeling more relaxed this morning, give her a big ((hug)) from us. xx

((Hugs)) too for anybody elses dogs that may have been frightened last night. xx

My Emma, who is now 8wks pregnant was exactly the same! Fireworks didn,t bother her last year. I had to go outside with her and she finally had a wee at 10.30 last night when most of the fireworks had stopped. She peed a river aswell, i was worried about her as she must have been uncomfortable but she is also fine this morning

Yep, she seems fine this morning, but I expect we'll have a repeat performance tonight, I know a few families around here are having their fireworks tonight........so can anybody suggest what I can try next ?

The fireworks started around 5ish last night, we locked Chester indoors while we set some of for the kids at 6.30pm while we were outside Chester had his face against the window looking and wagging his tail.

By 8pm he was sound asleep... snoring, all the noise went on until 10.30 last night.

I have never heard so many... i think everybody in Southend bought a box, way more this year than the previous years.

I agree, this year there seemed to be twice as normal, even where my mum lives, it's normally quiet, just the odd firework or rocket, but this year she said they started around 5pm and were still going strong at 11pm.

Personally I blame the shops, by us there is a Pound Store with a shop attached, they have been selling half price fireworks all week! They will probably sell them even cheaper now, which means more kids getting hold of them. Don't get me wrong my children love firework displays, but I think organised displays only!
