My poor boy Toby

Well my little toby yorkie is a poorly boy. Hes coming up fourteen in January and will have been with us on his birthday two years.

He has been a problem since he came to us for trying to bite if anyone goes near me but having no teeth and warning others we have coped very well.

Anyway over the last few months he has been chesty and on and off antibiotics but now he is drinking quite a lot and weeing more than what I would call the norm. Wee sample going into the vets but a little worried about him as he is an old boy. Anybody else had this problem. I suppose in a way I am thinking the worst which is one of my dreadful traits in life.

He can be a menace and is not loved by the other four dogs but I love him. Just worried his kidneys may not be working well or diabetes comes to mind. I know the wee sample will tell us quite a bit but just sat here at work worried.

aww i hope toby will be okay

we have this worry with amber our patterdale terrier now,she is nearly 11 and has just started to lose fur in large amounts and her breathing ain,t what it used to be
vet told us she is just getting old now

but it don,t make it any easier doe,s it

we,ve had amber since she was a 8 week old pup and she has been the best dog ever,never ever done anything wrong

Peter took the wee sample up to the vets early this afternoon after he went home at lunch time to collect a sample.

Had a phone call from vets. They have asked us to take Toby up this evening at 6.45 for a chat. Nothing more was said as I spoke to the vet nurse and not the vet.

Well I'm just finishing off here at work and will then make my way home. As I am computerless at home at the moment will let you know the results tommorrow.

Please keep your fingers crossed for my old little boy. He's a little mini yorkie and sits in my coat when we are out walking with the others.
