Pereg is due for another blood test today and I just hope I can keep her starved until her appointment at 1pm. Unfortunately Ram has two operations booked for this morning so that is the earliest I can take her. My driver will be here at 12.40pm so not too much later than the time she starts nagging for food.

So - everything crossed that her levels are all back to normal but at least I will get the results while I am there so will be able to discuss them with Ram. If the Amylase is still high then I will have to think again about the Hills, although I am sure that I can tweak her regular raw diet sufficiently so that the fat level is low enough.

Dogs convert animal fat to carbs and you keep a very good eye on what she eats so I wouldn't imagine you'll be giving her a very fatty diet anyway. They don't need us to feed them starches which is what these 'special diets' seem to contain
