So, so sorry about this. Sorry I'm late as well. I don't want to sound rude or horrible, but if you're not sure what caused this severe illness, I'd hold off on getting a new dog for the time being as if it's infectious like Parvo, a new puppy could get it and you'd face this devastating scenario all over again.

I saw you say the Parvo was negative, but it might have been lepto or something else that might be lingering about your home still. Please, please don't take this the wrong way... I'd just hate for another puppy to get sick like she did

I am so sorry to read this news.

The PM will answer your questions and help you move forward when you are ready too.
I had a young dog not a puppy who had loads of tests all negative or borderline and he had to be put to sleep. The vet school who looked after him did a PM I had mixed emotions over it being done but needed answers.
Your heart will ache for a long time over Tangle. Good luck with the new puppy waiting list. Fingers crossed you will have a new pup soon to lift your spirits.

Was it today; yesterday; a week; a month ago?
There are no days; there are no nights since my furchild died.
I reach to pet my furry friend who is no longer here.
My heart is broken; my arms are empty; how many tears I've cried.

I leave the house, into the lane we always walked together.
The rain is falling. I notice not. Just more tears on my face.
She used to lead me down the lane. Her spirit leads me still.
But we go a different way to a very strange and different place.

I stand before a rustic bridge I've never seen before.
I stop. I know I'm not to cross. But why, I want to know?
And then the rain suddenly stops. I look up into the clouds.
I look down. The bridge is gone and in its place is a rainbow.

I look across the Rainbow Bridge and see a joyful sight;
Thousands of healthy furchildren playing with my beloved pet.
I want to run and love her, but I'm rooted to the spot.
She looks and wags her tail and I hear her bark, "Not yet."

And then her bark turns to a voice and I hear her say,
"You cared for me, you played with me and loved me to the end.
I'm healthy now, don't cry for me. I'll meet you here again.
Others need your love and care ... I'm sending you a friend."

I rub my eyes and the rainbow is again a rustic bridge.
I send a prayer for that quick glimpse to the loving God above.
I hear a noise and glance back down. I can't believe my eyes.
Across the bridge, my darling pet sent a furbaby for me to love.

I pick up the furry bundle, hold her close to my dampened cheek.
She nuzzles my neck, kisses my tears. It's true love at first sight.
Not to replace the one who's gone; another who needs my love and care.
My eyes are drawn upward to see a Rainbow Bridge in radiating light.

This poem is beautiful and has brought tears to my eyes, reminding me of my lost one.
I'm so sorry to read about your loss but that you are already considering a new puppy.
I too said I didn't think I could have a new friend so soon but my old lady wouldn't have wanted me to be alone, I had so much love for her that I wanted to share it with a new friend. I lost Molly in the April, found a breeder who was due a litter of pups in June and along came Bailiie in August, just 4 months to the day of losing Molly.
I found it difficult at first but after a week away in Cornwall we bonded and I haven't looked back. Bailiie doesn't replace Molly but she is my second "baby" and very different. I love her just as much which I thought I'd never be able to do...
I wish you all the luck in the world, you had a puppy that was very much loved and hopefully a new one on the way that will also be very much loved too
