Oh my word what a beautiful girl. Are you thinking of showing her ?

Its amazing how when they get so naughty you can become very hard with them. Then in a few minutes feel bad and give them a cuddle. Well I do anyway.

Thank you Lynn Yes, I am planning on showing her. We have are first show in a few weeks (just an open show, where they only had a junior class, so she'll be up against dogs up to a year older than her, so it's just for practice!).

Although, we had a horrible experience at ring craft recently and it's really dented my confidence Maggie had a teenage moment and decided to ignore me completely and was desperate to go and play with the other dogs (which involved her barking and dragging me around ), this vile handler said that Maggie was aggressive, said that I should have socialised and trained her (ie suggesting I had not) and then hit Maggie on the nose hard enough that Maggie jumped back Needless to say, I left immediately and made a complaint but nevertheless still feel quite shaken by it. I've spoken to our regular trainer and she says that that woman is talking nonsense and that Maggie has obviously been very well socialised and described her as a 'bomb proof' dog, but still.

That is a long way of saying that I am now really nervous about showing her! What if she plays up like that in the ring and everyone watching thinks she is this undersocialised, badly trained dog. In fact, I'm now nervous every time I take her anywhere (even though since then she's been very well behaved on trips out).

I'm going to go to a new ring craft when it starts up again in sept.

Stupid woman denting your confidence and Maggie's. She may well play up they always do at the times you least need it. She is still very much a baby Dillon at 21 months is still a nightmare at times and shows off indoors if we have been out and mouths and demands attention. Aggressive he is not big hard teeth yes and a little over enthusiastic at times yes same as Maggie.
Go ahead do the show and be confident you know your dog and you will begin to learn her body language.
Most good judges give leeway for inexperienced novice young dogs and handlers.
Good on you for walking out.

Maggie is drop dead gorgeous Isn't it incredible just how much growing they do in such a short time I remember also being amazed seeing how quickly Lynn's lovely Dillon grew as well. A truly stunning breed of dog.
