Council dog wardens will also be involved in the enforcement
i dont think vets or nurses will get invoved as its against there ethics and they will lose pleanty of trade how many vets ask know were the puppie was docked never the ask

Maybe so,but what makes you think they will give out the correct info?
You do not need to take ID with you to a vet.
If the RSPCA turned up at my property, unless they had a warrent then they would be told to go away politely.I have had dealings with them in the past Would i disclose the relavant info NO.

Council dog wardens are next to useless, how many dogs have been reported to them as been loose, dangerous etc,do they ever follow it up,very rarely, will they have time to follow up every report about a docked pup,i sincerely doubt it.

yes to all the above but ear cropping is still going on behind doors and ppl are still breeding pitts and importing banned breeds
i know dogo,s are here in the uk and fila,s and tosa, andthey are all being avertised openly inpapers web site
if they cant do anything about that what makes you think the docking bann is going to be any better ????
True tosa's filla's and dogo's are rare. As is ear cropping.
The pit ball law could never be properly enforced and it was know when the act was brought out. Too difficult to tell the difference between a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Staffy x, American Staffordshire Terrier, Pit Bull and then with Irish Staffs These laws were created by the government, The Animal Welfare Act has been created by RSPCA and other animal charities.
At least with this ban it's clear it's either a docked tail or not. only difficulty will be prosecuting when the dogs is over a year as like with the pit bull ban you can't be exact with age or breed.

you say rare but they are still in the country being bred and the law was very clear in what was banned?
and the pitt bull they are being advertised openly as pits so how can it not be inforced
every thing can be inforced if they had the man power
and cropping is not rare in the right circles its done very often and ppl are paying lots of money for it to be done i cant imagine how many poor dogs suffer and die due to infections but no one is doing anything about it

The previous (current) Act isn't clear and difficult enforced hence them creating this new Act. Believe me you will get vets and Nurses reporting it, it's actually against their ethics not to report illegal activity.

Like I said earlier it's a law that's difficult to enforce, there is no test you can do to check the animal’s breed. A specialist Vet has to take measurements photos etc and then it's down to the vet’s individualopinion as to whether it is a banned breed. With so many crossbreeds they can never be 100% sure.

A docked tail however is blatantly obvious
