AT 3am THIS MORNING

Just before 3a.m. this morning Ruby the pup asked to go out. No problem wandered down stairs opened the back door and we both wandered down the garden I spied 4 (I think 4) foxes on the lawn, then all hell broke loose, about 6ft in front of me there was a red flash followed by a black and white flash and over a 6ft brick wall they both went into the street. I ran up the garden out of the side gate into the street bearing in mind I was wearing a dressing gown and I mean only a dressing gown
Ran back indoors up the stairs screaming like a banshhe for john to get up and dressed, we ran back downstairs me nearly breaking my neck trying to pull trousers on at the same time.Had another quick look in the garden just in case then out through the side gate to find madam sitting by the gate in the street puffing and panting, she strolled down the garden had the pee she wanted in the first place
wandered back upstairs straight into her crate waiting for her biscuit!!!!!!
This collie pup is only 10mths old not a bad jump as she didnt scale the wall she practically cleared it her paws only just touched the top.
Needless to say john went back to sleep, and me well..... think the word stress comes into it.

Good grief!

I'll never moan about any of my dogs leaving me a little "present" in the mornings ever again.

Hugs honey - you definitely need to de-stress!

Bruce is 10 months.....and like yours could and can jump over most heights.

It's a shock isn't it, but then I once had a JRT who took a 6 ft fence after a fox......................she was only about 14 inches high herself.

I know what you mean about stress.....

Really what you don't need at 3am in the morning.
Hope the rest of your day is more peaceful.

Glad it all ended well , lucky your pup didn't catch the fox I knew someone who had a whippet who caught a fox . The dog was in an awful mess with infected bites eveywhere .
Typical man though getting straight back to sleep

Look on the bright side, she came back with no bother. It would have been far worse if you had to chase her around the houses, foxes in one direction, closely followed by your girl and then you and you other half!
