freeze puppy food?

hi , im having trouble making up the right amount of weaning food for a 3 week old westie pup (singleton born ), shes having jwb puppy kibble mixed with naturediet puppy all mixed up with water.... is it ok to freeze the excess .. thought you guys will know

hmm, well i know alot of people put wet food into kongs and freeze it, so must be ok? try putting the excess in a kong for her

why dont you just let her mum have the rest?
thats what i do feed the pups and what every is left that is mums to have while the pups have a quick milk feed off her

thats what ive been doing but cos millie has only had 1 pup im now thinking of taking her off puppy food and putting her back on adult kibble .. so thats not suitable for sky , got puppie kibble anmd meat for sky .. will it be ok to mix the 2 together for millie to have ?

I do the same Bobbie3917, whatever the pups leave after a certain amount of time, I just let mum back in with pups to finish off.

Not that there's normally much to finish off though.......lol.

i would not change your bitch back on to her food yet, if the pup is still feeding off her then keep her on the puppy food as it may up set the pup.
but if you do change then just cut out a little of her food, it wont be long before you know how much to make for the pup

agree all the time she is feeding and for a little while after keep her on puppy kibble it will build her back up from having sky ......
julie just soak a few kibbles and a spoonful of food at a time ..you can always make more

how much will likle sky eat shes 3 weeks old tomorrow ?
