Ditto - very glad I'm not a fish We use to leave a ball in the water and prod it every day ..... so glad that we haven't got that worry any more. The fish look really healthy there and I think its a lovely thing to have in the garden to look at more so when it's not quite so cold.

The water in my pond feels freezing cold in the summer to me but I'm no fish. Usually when the temperature really drops the fish become less active and take to the depths of the pond.

I used to have fish in the pond too, I spent many a cold time checking on them when the temperature fell.

They are doing fine although they aren't eating much at the moment.

I think the ball is to keep a patch unfrozen isn't it? The fountain seems to do that, we have never had that frozen... yet!
