Dailey Thread, Monday 28th November

Good morning everyone, colder still this morning, still if the sun comes out it wont be so bad, if, that is.

Griff, good to see you and know that you are back on the up. Well done of the cuddle of the little one and not giving way to wanting to keep it.

Lynn, Mark is having a lot to put up with from that Agency. Hope he can get some decorating work soon.

Besoeker, lovely pictures of your dog guarding you from the horses. lol.

Hope everyone else is well and dogs all ok.

Have a good day all, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Morning Moyra and all to follow.
Chilly here to Moyra but bright.

Gorden and I pretty tired after our walks over the weekend but Dillon seems like he will be up for his stroll in a while.
Gorden gone back to London. Mark gone to work let's see if he manages to stay there or if they send him home. Hopefully not he needs the money for christmas especially for Joel.
Gill starts chemo again today fingers crossed this one shrinks the tumour. It will be devastating if it doesn't. LG Gill is my sister I noticed a week or so ago you thought she was my friend, which she is also.

Hope everyone is well and all our four legged friends.

Quite overcast here this morning, sun is forecast later though.
Hoping for an incident free walk today, think I deserve one after the last couple of days
Got fingers crossed for Mark, Lynn, and hoping Gill has a good reaction to this chemo.
Want to get some more of the ceiling painted today then I need to start moving stuff round to do the rest of the wall where the window is, and then empty the wardrobe and movie that and paint that wall.not
Not too cold here, no frost overnight either.

Morning all and all to follow. Lovely and sunny here. Got the tree down over the weekend to see if it would fall to bits and it is in very good condition so waiting till later in the week to decorate it. Nippy have fun sorting Christmas. I have nearly done it all, just bits and bobs to finish off. Doing it bit by bit so that hubby doesn't notice. People think it is too early but they seem to forget that Christmas is over a weekend so not long to go now. Had a lovely day yesterday celebrating hubbys birthday with his two sisters and our daughter Sara. Went to the restaurant that is just up the road from us so no driving. Lots to eat and drink and birthday cake. June how did training go yesterday? Off now to have a lovely walk in the sun. Lynn hope your sisters chemo goes well for her. Take Care all bfn.

Mark has had a sort of half hearted apology but doesn't think he will get a days work. The agency have lost 50% of the contract an amazon manager he gets on with told him and he has to go and see the guy who employs them through the agency and he isn't hopeful of the outcome.
He says he isn't to bothered.
Thank you for the positive thoughts for Gill.

Fingers crossed for an incident free walk June you certainly do deserve it.
Glad you had a nice time yesterday brenda. Lots of decorations going up round here and lights on some houses already switched on.
Think I will leave it another week or two.

Well Mark is on his way home and he doesn't think it looks like he will be going back.
123% productivity rate and he apparently isn't good enough. Possibly he knows more than the agency guys running the show and the fact he won't overlook shelves nearly taking him out and fainting women.

Hi Lynn, just wanted to say that things must have changed a hell of a lot in the 15 years since I had a 'day job'

I used a small specialised agency to get contracts but they were for minimum 6 months and I got to know the boss of the agency quite well, and in fact she is still a friend and we keep in touch.

In those days the agency provided you with a contract which stated the hourly rate and the minimum hours per week that the client (Their customer) required, and it was up to me to accept or decline. The idea that their client could send someone home would have horrified Christine (Agency boss) and they would have been black listed in the recruitment agency world.

But that was then and now it's a different ball game, seems to be decency and honourable conduct don't enter the corporate mindset now. Really glad I only work over the internet now, I think I'd be up for manslaughter if I had to go into an office now and face all the horrible people that you read about

Hi Harvey I have worked for agencies in the past to so has Gorden but Mark has said they were employment agencies these are agencies that literally flood the workplaces with bodies that are needed on a daily basis.
Temporary workers mostly Eastern European.
He doesn't seem that bothered to be honest. I did mention about trying the other agency that seems to be doing better he said to be honest I wouldn't want to go back there as a temp worker.
By 9am the agency he worked for were already sending round a list asking people if they wanted an early day.
It is up in the air whether he has work tomorrow hopefully they will let him know at a decent hour. Way things are going with them if he does go in he isn't guaranteed a full days work.

Lynn that is just terrible, at least Mark is with you and Gorden at the moment, but just imagine having a wife and family and struggling with benefits and this type of contract work, as Harvey says decency has gone out of the window.
Girls been out and managed to get Mabs, Kesh and Zen out for a run round on the field without interruption. I did put a line on Kesh just in case, but no one came near, maybe they have heard about me and are scared So they all had a mad half hour, Zen's got a bit of a cut over her eye when it got too rough, apart from that they're tired but happy.
Training went well yesterday, started on send aways, I've been doing bits and pieces of it with Zen for a while now, so she's got the idea of it, sort of. Need to work on my distance Down really, she does pick things up very quickly so I have to keep any training short and interesting as she will switch off pretty quickly if I keep going over the same thing.
We've got heavy frost forecast for the next few nights, going to stay dry and that is the main thing.
