The theme song from Beaches,
Sung by Bette Midler, "You are the wind beneath my wings",

Mama like the Roses – Elvis Presley. Mums favourite song and it was played at her funereal.
Into the West - Annie Lennox. It was on some music award show the evening before mum died and it just made me bawl listening to it
Who wants to live forever – Queen. Was in a pub not long after my died had died and it suddenly dawned on me I’d never see him again. When I was eleven I was told he had six months, he survived a further ten years every time he came out of hospital he’d always tell me he was going to live forever

Lord of the Dance (only when sung)

About 30 yrs ago, there were two lovely children, brother & sister, about 7 and 8, who used to come to our training classes. They often climbed up on stage and sang this for us. The little boy drowned in a pond near where he lived. Still brings a lump to my throat when I hear it.

These Are the Days of Our Lives - Freddie Mercury

Just because he wrote and recorded it shortly before his death, when he knew he had little time left.

Blue Savannah-Erasure, Sacrifice-Elton John, reminds me of when my nephew was killed in a car crash when he was 17. The first song was his favorite and sacrifice was no.1 at the time.

You raise me up-Westlife don't know why just does.
