Camping trip

Hi, I am in Essex, and thinking of going camping for a weekend with some friends and dogs, don't wont to go too far as only going for the weekend, anyone got any ideas..

Eight of us with four dogs went to Welsummer in Kent. We were lucky to choose a really warm spring weekend and they put us in the woods where the bluebells where in bloom. They have braziers and you can buy bags of firewood for open fires. The only downside was that it's popular with families, so they don't approve of raucous behaviour late in the evening.

All I keep hearing from pals all over the UK is how appalling the weather is at the mo and you .... are planning a camping trip!

Don't knock it, we went away one February in a tent, loved it only down side was waking up at 2am convinced we were going to freeze to death. We survived and it has provided many happy memories for later life when we wouldn't dream of doing it again
