Frontline

Just been to the vets near my house (not my usual vets). I had to buy some frontline for Kingsley, as he has got fleas.
I was disgusted with the price!
3 pippets (for dogs up to 10kg) just cost me £24.58!!

I have just looked online, and found a website, where you can buy nthen for just over £18!
I will do that next time!

How much have you paid?

My vet charges £18.50 for the pack of 3 of the 20 - 40 kg size and individual pippets of the smaller sizes for £5.50 each.

I cant remember. Have you heard anything about Frontline and the manufactures changing the ingredients making some dogs have fits because of it?

The vet i went to seems ot over charge for everything!
I think the frontline I bought today has different ingredients in than the last packet, as the packet is now different, and has green on it, and says it includes something. The packet is at my Mums house, so I can't look to see!

I don't normally treat for fleas. But Kingsley chases hedgehogs, and my Mums cat goes in the fields a lot, so Kingsley has picked them up from her. Poor little thing is scratching loads!

I found Frontline to be ineffective and changed to Advantage.
You can buy it here at the local chemist shop for about £3 a go.

Yes, I stopped using Frontline last November as I was sure it caused them to scratch, and they seemed fine up until a month ago when they were both getting a lot of ticks, so I resorted back to it (the new type you now have Hevvur), but I have to say they still both get ticks and they are both scratchin again like mad, whereas my Cassie never itches normally! I am going to try one of these others recommended in this thread next time and won't be using anything at all in the winter. I really think there is a problem with that Frontline at the moment and I have heard other people say the same when out with the dogs chatting to them. Hey ho!

lol Azz you took the words right out of my mouth! I pay a fortune for frontline here. I'm a great fan of it and never had any problems with it. In fact Dibley has never had fleas in his life. NOW WHERE CAN I BUY IT CHEAP PLEEEEEEASE?
