From what I have seen in the trainers they are not"designer"dogs but simply smuggled in puppies

It is terrible whatever, poor things plus the rabies threat

Poor poor little things, I hope they somehow find decent homes, breaks my heart to think of it, they are so vulnerable and dependent.

Makes you wonder, had a few new pups on here, either really ill or died soon after bringing home also people on here who have "papers" for their new puppy, not worth the ink it's written in. So sad and all for money

Why don't people do their homework, it is so sad for the puppies, but if there was no market for them then it wouldn't keep happening. I work so hard to make sure my babies have the best of everything and do all I can as regards health of them and their mother, yet people are still falling for all the con artist tricks despite all the adverse publicity. They were giving details of the why's and wherefore's on Crufts last night, so it must be a real problem that's getting worse all the time.
I am not sure I am going to be able to watch the programme actually because I will end up in tears I know I will.

Right now, having perked up a lot, I don't even want to read about it.

Can't understand why on earth people would buy a pup which was bred abroad . Surely there are plenty of people breeding puppies here ?

I watched too, incredibly sad Not as graphic or as upsetting as I thought it could have been. Those poor little pups though.

I think people are buying these pups simply because they are available. We are increasingly becoming a society of 'I want it, and want it now' and unfortunately these suppliers are meeting that demand
