Cordless house phone problem.

I have a BT cordless house phone which we have had for a few weeks now. When we got it at first it was fine and then a couple of days later it started picking up noises on the line from my house whenever you tried to dial out. I could hear my budgies whistling on my phone line and the washer and even my feet walking across the kitchen floor Then it went okay again but today it has started doing the same thing again and I couldn't use it this morning because of it. Has anybody else ever had this problem with their cordless phone?

Might sound stupid and you've prob already checked but its not on hands free is it? Or another phone on the line off the hook? Thats the only way I can think of that it would pick up noises in the house

my cordless phone has a button with picture of a speaker on it puts on speaker phone and the green phone turns it off but my phone is a panasonic so dont know bout yours. If handsfree/speaker phone is on you should be able to hear people on the other end clearly without having phone to your ear

My cordless Foxy has two blue buttons to engage a call. The top button has a speaker emblem on it and is for handsfree jobbie which also lights up same emblem on LCD display.Other blue button is for normal phone call.

If this dont solve anything-havent you thought about getting your phone exorcised..???
