Moses Baskets

What's the difference (apart from the bedding etc.) between a wicker moses basket and a wicker storage/laundry basket?

a moses basket its suited for a baby its softer and not sharp where as a wicker laundry basket is sharp and the wicker can snap and become inbeded in what evers put in there

AH damn! And I thought I'd found a cheaper alternative as it's only used for a couple of months

you can still use one but advisable to use a well padded surround for inside like you said its only going to be used for a few months,i had a moses basket but my son wouldnt sleep in it so i bought a bambino cot he slept in it 3 times he wouldnt settle in that either so in the end he slept in the silvercross pram when it came to night time i could carry him up in that and place in the cot

have you considered getting a cot there are some really nice ones out there which are in three stages from birth upwards you can ajust them so the older they get the lower you can set them

That does sound good - we're in the process of looking at everything at the moment (including laundry baskets ) so will give them a look too.
