Ancol mesh muzzle (nylon not plastic)

This is baffling me so hope someone can help me understand.

According to ancols website, these muzzles allow your dogs to pant and drink normally, i dont understand how? The purpose of a soft muzzle is to stop the dog opening its mouth (too far) so how does this particular one allow the dog to pant/drink normally?

The soft muzzles i've seen don't allow the dog to pant or drink normally. But at the same time neither do they completely stop the dog from biting as they allow the mouth to open slightly, enough for the dog to bite with the very front teeth.

The ancol mesh one I think you're talking about though appears to be a basket type made of fabric. Not quite sure what use that would be to be perfectly honest Or maybe they just think that because it's mesh instead of solid fabric it allows the dog to pant? I can't quite tell whether it's supposed to hold the mouth shut or is a fabric basket muzzle. A fabric basket muzzle would be as much use as a chocolate teapot though wouldn't it?

Ah so it's definitely the sort that holds the mouth shut then, couldn't tell that from the pics I found. The fabric muzzle I have also stated the same thing, I always found it a bit silly to be honest. Either the dog can open its mouth enough to pant and therefore bite or it can't open its mouth to bite and therefore can't pant.

And ime, they cannot pant properly while wearing them or open their mouth to bite properly but can open their mouth enough to give a nasty nip with the front teeth.

This one baffles me even more, judging by the pics it would have no purpose whatsoever?
