Glad Mr SB is not the only one who expects dogs to understand complex, perfectly grammatical, sentences

Training: 'Don't treat your dog like a fool - or he will become one'.
Stress: 'Puppyhood does not last long - enjoy it'

*If it were down to him the dog would limp around unnoticed and untreated, not because he does not care but because he does not see.*

Mines the same

*Think this goes to show that some people are just not tuned into dogs*

Couldn`t agrre more so maybe this should be on the list, *observe, watch & learn about your pup/dog?* When a pup/dog wants to do its business etc it has a little ritual it goes thru first, by watching/observing you`ll get to know then take it from there. They don`t very often do things without some kind of warning, well mine don`t anyway

I`ve got Ian Dunbars book & videos, think they`re v good

I couldn't agree with you more! It's funny you know, I just finished a course on Montessori training (children aged 3-6) and the main rules are: 1. Observe 2. Follow them. This tells you when they are ready for something new. 3. treat them with respect and they will respect you back!
Interesting isn't it?
