Non traditional construction...

As you all should know, we are hoping to move soon, so we have been looking at properties and have seen quite a few we like, but a couple have been of 'non traditional construction' just wondered if these are best avoided? One property we like is so lovely, even has outdoor kennels, but is non traditional... etc
Are they no insurable or likely to develop damp etc?
Thanks in advance

I think it usually means they are hard to find a mortgage for a lot of the time.

They are almost impossible to get a mortgage one

Have a look here

They can be good value to buy & can be redeveloped into traditional builds-see them quite a lot on "Homes under the hammer" & Martin Roberts is the presenter & very knowledgeable
