Depends of which varity it is, the one we have I bought deliberatly as it is a up grower, not a spreader, think its onlt about 25ft at maturity...ours is about 6 ft, we;ve had it 2 years

Lynn, we have a sycamore at the bottom of the garden, fully grown. This tree is very different in bud.

I did google it mom and it definitely looks like an ash tree in winter. So up it will come. Its only 12ft away from the house - far too close for comfort.

Well whatever it is I agree it is too close for comfort as it looks like it is going be a big tree.
