Walking with both legs from same side walking together.

I don't know how else to describe it, but everynow and again on the way home Honey will walk slower then normal and instead of walking normal with legs at the opposite side working together she will walk with both legs from the same side moving at the same time, does anyone know any reason why this could be happening?

It's an energy conserving gait in dogs & can also be seen if the handler/owner isn't walking fast enough for the dog.

My dog walks like that sometimes. I only notice it when she is off lead and in front of me. My pal calls it 2 time. Like a giraffe.

This is often because the owner is not walking fast enough for the dog so it is forced to pace, this often happens in a long striding dog.

It can also be a sign that a dog is tired, so it may be that your dog needs to get fitter!

Some lazy dogs do it too.

In the show ring you can often spot the dogs who pace as the exhibitor does a little circle before doing the triangle or up and down!

Thanks everyone, its probally just her being lazy lol, as normally I walk fast so she prances more, but I think she looks a bit wierd doing this, espcailly as I've never seen her do it before, I don't think its anything to do with her fitness as she's allright in that department .
