Pets at Home

OMG!!!! I had my first trip to Pets at Home today (Eastbourne branch) Great store but it costs you a fortune in there doesn't it? No i hear you say.But if you have the self control that i do,its a dear shopping trip.Firstly i bought the harness i went in there for which was a reasonable £10.99,and if i stopped there all would be well. But no,I then bought a bed because Ossie had a blanket that ended up in the middle of the room all of the time. Then my wife said that we had to buy a soft fleecey type pad that fits snuggly in the bed.At which point my two daughters went off to look at the various small furry creatures for sale in the shop. They came back with a few different chew toys and insisted Ossie would love them,so they were bought also. Then i remembered that i wanted to look at the Kong toys that everyone on here talks about. So a black kong later along with my son insisting that the tube of liver paste that squirts into said Kong was an absolute must we trooped up to the cash desk. Are we done yet? Not bloody likely on the way my wife spots the deluxe nail clippers that have the saftey stop on them and realises we really need a new pair of them,so they too were added to an already overstocked shopping basket.Still i thought that must be it.Nooooooo how wrong i was.Ossie was just about the only family member who hadn't as yet chosen anything, until now that is.He was looking rather excitedly at another tug toy with a big red plastic handle and two tennis balls on the end. That was definately it now.So all in all a lot of money spent, but a great shop nonetheless. But i think next time i go,it will be on my own and just to get the item i went in for.

lol-you're probably kinda lucky having a Staffie which cant reach upto the tubs of loose biscuits Steve cause Vegas just jumps up and helps himself!

I like the selection at PAH,but not so keen on their prices...

I can sympathise!

I went with Takara the other day for a collar and lead. That's it.
Came away having spent £19.50 (I had a voucher to spend £20 and get £2 off, would've been cheaper to buy another thing! ) and still no collar!!!

not great when my current bank balance now stands at £20!!!

Haha! I have a mad dally who, on the trip before last stopped dead while I was still walking, lead went tight, I turned round and she had ripped a little hole in one of the food bags stood on the floor and was eating the biscuits falling out of it! We left pretty sharpish!

hehehehe I know how you feel - I went in yesterday for a few roasted bones for Suki and about £30 later left with a couple of bags of stuff - but hey it's my baby and I'll spoil her if I want to!

PS - the flavoured bubbles at £3.45 are going down a treat!
