There are times in our lives when (for whatever reason) we just can't have a dog, let alone a puppy. When out lovely Labrador passed away we shortly after moved house, then I was made redundant, and had to take a job which involved lots of travel and at the same time my wife also changed jobs and had to be away from home sometimes so it just wasn't possible for quite few years.
During that time whenever I met someone with a Labrador I would start to think how we could have one, but barring a pools win (There was no lottery in those days) it just couldn't happen.
Concentrate on getting your health back to normal and instead of buying cans of food for your dog buy a few for the local rescue 'cos they always need it.
Very true Harvey. I keep meaning to go to the local rescue to take some dogs out for walks... will have to remember to look into it!

The day I brought her home I threw away my stick and cancelled my physio appointment. Take my word for it Azz a puppy is the best therapy you can have.
