Dog bonding

I am a student at Moulton College studying BSc Applied Animal Studies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the bonds that dogs form between humans and other dogs. The objectives of the study are:

· To determine how long it takes to bond to a rescue/adopted dog.

· To determine the behaviours and closeness of bond of the dog human relationship.

· To investigate the behaviours between dogs and other dogs within the same household.

I would really appreciate it if you can spare a couple of minutes to fill in the survey for my dissertation. All data that is collected will be anonymous.

Other: It varies...he's still excited to go on walks (this is an ok thing for me), he's still a little timid around new people but warms up quickly, and he's still noisy when some people or dogs go by the house (doesn't bother me); stress took about 1-2 months

I would think asking a general type of breed may help also.

I've seen rescue bully breeds that seem to bond in days with a new owner, where as I see most mastiff breeds take anywhere from a month to a year, with the general guide line as 8 months.

(Did not do the study as I always get my Mastiffs as pups from breeders, and since I always get males and don't neuter unless needed, so since all the rescues here for mastiff breeds auto reject, if you have unaltered, I can't)
