Camping in Devon

So, am finally scrubbed up and cleared away from our weekend camping in Devon, last camping trip of the season.

We arrived at about 4pm on Friday and set up camp. We were lucky enough to have a pitch away from everyone else so it felt like we were alone in the fields. It was a lovely site but perhaps not quite worth the £33 a night!!

The next day we made our way down to explore the beach near the campsite, Newberry Bay.

It was abit of a trek down but well worth it when we got there!

There were so many coves and rocks and caves to explore and plenty of deep swimming and fetch! opportunities. Woody was in doggy heaven.

And of course there were plenty of photo opportunities)

Later on we met up with Esme, Rich and Monty (see the ''Monty meets Woody'' thread) for an afternoon on Saunton Beach, with the dogs, followed by a cheeky pint and some hearty pub grub.

This morning we woke up to the sound of rain, pouring down so after a very wet, soggy walk we packed up and drove home, via Exmoor Forest and some bloody scary alpine like roads! Via Woody Bay of course!!

An excellent weekend and a great way to end it for the season!

Terrific pictures, and Woody is clearly looking fantastic, as do you, and the National Trust has named a piece of the UK after him how nice is that
