How did your appointment go? have you been givne an admission date? How long do you have to wait?

I should have it done within the next 3 months
My G-daughter will be in America at about the time I have to go in and I know she is not taking her laptop. Sooooo I think it might need to come to hospital with me!!!

All the best, hope you can take the lappy into hospital, otherwise we'll miss you terribly.xxxxx
I keep hearing about these old biddies who do so well, so I hope I don't let the side down
If I don't get to take a lappy in with me I will give my son instructions to come on and update you all

3 months isn't too bad!

My best friends mum has had both hips and knees done in the last 5 years!! She now goes fell-walking with her hubby, and even went ski-ing last year.

She says that they feel better than her 'originals' ever did!!

As others have said, I know lots of my relations and friends that have had new hips and it has given them a new lease of life.
So whatever the outcome, look on it in a positive way you will be surprised how quickly you recover.
Good luck

Good luck with your op. My brother is having a hip replacement soon, and he's only 31 . Hopefully it will mean a new lease of life though

I have had the date for my op, much, much sooner than I thought June 17th
So I have been out today and bought 2 nighties, slippers and 2 skirts. They recommend you wear skirts, shorts or joggers. I never wear shorts or joggers, so bought skirts as I might get some wear out of them after.
Ooooo it's getting very close now!
