Crufts, outside, with nothing more important than animal welfare. The message would stand strong and clear and there would be a zero tolerance policy on it.

I can but dream.

Crufts, but with a judge that actually knows and loves our breed.

And people giving free foot massages!

And better cheaper food!

One where you can guarantee 100% that the judge is looking at the right end of the lead.

These all sound lovely! Personally I'd want one like Crufts, with an outdoor area, with less stalls selling the same kind of stuff and less people. Also, where you can take your own dog and have a go at stuff like agility (as described above) and where there's more demonstrations of what dogs can do

Totally agree with everything!

My perfect show would be outside on a sunny day, a good judge who knows the breed and doesn't look at who is holding the lead, not too far away (from a petrol point of view), and of course all of my friends there and my dog showing perfectly of course!

Sounds very like a club show on a sunny day apart from being close to home!

When we lived down in Grimsby, I always loved going to shows at the Newark & Notts showground. It was outdoors mainly, within reasonable travelling distance to where we lived, always had a great atmosphere, good sized rings, plenty attending and nice food Sid would always come with me and make a day of it - but he won't go to the open shows in the halls as he hates them!!

That was when I really enjoyed showing. Up here many of the Open shows are in small, cramped halls and it takes the enjoyment right out of it. The rings are too small, lots of them are too warm and it's just not as enjoyable. I much prefer outdoor shows. I'm hoping to get to at least one champ show this year - we both thoroughly enjoyed the one and only one we attended last year.

My ideal dog show? A huge field with a lake, lots of shady wooded parts, open grassy area, perhaps some agility equipment, a marquee for refreshments (& I suppose some portaloos!) and lots of dogs being allowed to be dogs & having a great time Never going to be called a dog "show" is it?!!!
