Sorry for being nosey here Kirsty but can i ask is that a typical weight for a Bullmastiff ? I am asking out of intrest as all the ones i have met have been considerably smaller than i imagined this breed to be , probably as i have Pyr's and they are a giant breed i allways imagined Bullmastiffs to be huge so i was quite surprised to see the build of these lovely dogs in the flesh?

14 Stone is a hefty weight and i really thought with their build and frame they would be a fair bit lighter than that? Or have i only sen smaller ones in the flesh?

Kennel Club standard for the BM states: Weight: dogs: 50-59 kgs (110-130 lbs); bitches: 41-50 kgs (90-110 lbs).

(14 lbs = 1 stone)

Most Bullmastiffs I meet seem to be between 8 and 10 stone.
Mastiffs on the other hand tend to be more towards the 14-18 stone.

My girl is 6.2 stone
