Incase this happens to anyone else a good tip (elaineb sent me this in a article) fresh lemon juice and warm water as a enema, and if the dog is dehydrated add a tiny bit of salt.

It has (I honestly think) what has helped as it is softening up the hard nuggets in the anal area.
