Question about Danes...

I know theres a couple of Dane owners on the board and just wanted to ask something -
when I was at garage earlier getting a puncture sorted there was an alley way between the garage and the house next door that had an iron gate on and in this alleyway there was a Dane. He looked so sad There was nothing in this space for him - no bowls, no basket, no shelter.
He looked really skinny at his back end - are Danes normally leaner looking there and he had quite droopy red eyes too - bit like a bloodhound.
I admit i havent met many Danes but cant remember seeing any photos of them with these sort of eyes. A young girl came from the house when she saw me looking at him and when I asked her what his name was she said she'd "forgotten" and it was her dog !!!!
I just felt so sorry for this poor fella

Thats terrible Clarence how can you forget your dogs name.. His back end should be strong and muscular and his eyes should not be red and droopy, he probably has very slack eye lids. Poor little thing where was he perhaps I could get him off of them, Danes are sensitive and need a lot of love. I'm all upset now :smt022

Dozey Danes-
He is in Wallasey in Wirral.
At first I wasnt sure whether he belonged to the chap in the garage or not but when I asked the girl if he was hers she said yes- He looked really skinny all over but I couldnt get a proper side view becasue the alleyway was only narrow. Just that his hind quarters were pretty prominent which made me ask the question. The eyes were red underneath and pretty droopy - poor love

If you could arrange to have him kidnapped I will meet half way and bring him home. He would have a lovely life with my Danes.
